💰 Extended Warranty Claim Limits



  • ✔️ Vehicles up to £5,000 – £1,000 per claim, up to the vehicle’s value.

  • ✔️ Vehicles over £5,000 – £2,000 per claim, up to the vehicle’s value.






🔍 What’s Not Covered?



Our goal is fairness and clarity. Like any policy, some exclusions apply. These are outlined below to help you fully understand your coverage:




  • Wear-and-tear items – These components are expected to deteriorate through normal vehicle use and are not covered under warranty. This includes (but is not limited to):

    • Brake pads and discs

    • Clutches and dual-mass flywheels

    • Tyres

    • Wiper blades

    • Bulbs and fuses

    • Drive belts (e.g. auxiliary belts, unless part of a timing system with a specified interval)

    • Wheel bearings (unless catastrophic failure occurs within an unusually short time after sale)

    • Suspension bushes and ball joints

    • Exhaust components (excluding manifolds and catalytic converters)

    • Batteries for remote keys or alarms



  • Convertible roofs, wheels, and batteries

    • Failures or faults with electric convertible roof mechanisms or fabric

    • Alloy wheel corrosion, scuffing, or cosmetic damage

    • 12V starter batteries or auxiliary batteries (unless proven to be defective within 30 days of sale)



  • Windscreens, bodywork, and upholstery

    • Cracks, chips, or scratches to glass

    • Paint defects, rust, stone chips or corrosion (unless stated otherwise)

    • Interior trim, seat mechanisms, upholstery wear, cigarette burns, or stains



  • Routine servicing or maintenance

    • Oil and filter changes

    • Brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, air filters, fuel filters

    • Timing belt or chain replacement when due by mileage or age

    • Any service items or adjustments recommended in the manufacturer’s schedule



  • Third-party modifications or aftermarket additions

    • Suspension lowering kits

    • Upgraded audio/visual systems

    • Aftermarket alarms, immobilisers, or trackers

    • Wheel spacers or oversized tyres



  • Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) and AdBlue Systems – These are consumable emissions components that degrade over time. Blockages, contamination, or low fluid levels are not covered under warranty.

  • Diagnostic costs where no fault is found – If a vehicle is brought in and diagnostic checks reveal no fault, or one that is not covered under warranty, diagnostic charges are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Failure due to neglect or lack of servicing – Claims will not be accepted for:

    • Missed service intervals

    • Use of incorrect oil or fluids

    • Use of vehicle with a warning light illuminated or fault ignored

    • Overheating due to low coolant or oil levels

    • Timing belt or chain failures where replacement history is unknown or overdue



  • Non-manufacturer approved software updates or remaps – Any fault linked to ECU remapping, chip tuning, or use of unauthorised diagnostic tools or software will void warranty cover.

  • Oil leaks or fluid seepage – Minor leaks that do not cause a mechanical failure (e.g. oil mist around seals) are not covered. If a leak causes a covered component to fail, that component may be considered – but not the cost to fix the leak itself.

  • Any claim where continued use has made the problem worse – Damage that has worsened due to the driver continuing to operate the vehicle after a fault became apparent (e.g. noise, warning light, reduced performance) will not be covered.






📩 How to Make a Warranty Claim



To ensure fast, efficient service, all warranty claims must be submitted by email. Phone submissions are not accepted.



Step 1:

Email warranty@driversgallery.co.uk with your vehicle registration, a description of the issue, and your contact details. If you don’t have a garage in mind, we will recommend a trusted VAT-registered local garage.



Step 2:

Our in-house warranty team will communicate directly with the garage to coordinate diagnosis and approval.



Step 3:

Once approved, we pay the garage directly. No unexpected bills. No delays. No stress.
